JOHNNY

I met Johnny on the fields of Patterson Park in Baltimore where we have been playing ultimate frisbee together for years. His energy and attitude are contagious. He is happy to be front and center, so capturing him in a speedo outside in the cold on a friend’s boat was not a hard sell. Props to my friend Ian for letting us hop on his sailboat.

Johnny started with clothes on as we tried a few spots along the pier. Once we situated ourselves, he stripped down to what became the winning pose. I brought the machete he’s holding from a random purchase I made in Honduras years ago. It’s the first time it’s seen the light of day...it normally sits on my bookshelf in a leather case. The frisbee and those blue mirrored sunglasses were mine also.
