LISSETTE

I met Lissette at the Baltimore Pride Parade when we were hanging with mutual friends at the fantastic gin bar Dutch Courage. Her outfit was stellar and her vibe was sweet. She was one of the first people I reached out to about the TATT2U project because I knew she had a bunch of tattoos. Many of her tatts were inked by our mutual friend Kike who is also in this series. He inked a drawing of my dogs on my left calf.

After learning more about her different tattoos, I wanted to include a Wizard of Oz poster she had on her living room wall. The biggest struggle was getting the tattoo on her hope and the poster in the same shot without it looking goofy. Spoiler alert...it looked goofy.

Thankfully she was game to try something else. Her bedroom has a certain flare to it, so we moved my gear up the stairs and tried some poses on her bed. It wasn’t until the end of the shoot that I realized the mirror reflection would include a painting that brought it all together.
