CASSY

Cassy was one of two TATT2U models who only had one tattoo. So, that made it easy to know what the focus would be. When we talked about the significance of her ink, it was clear that something related to snorkeling and water would be an important theme. Thinking about where to make this shoot happen with access to water and lighting became a bit tough.

We wound up in my basement bathroom where I had recently installed a large tub. I also had recently purchased a spotlight attachment to my continuous light. I bought a cheap snorkel setup and decided we would turn off the room lights and just have the spotlight hit her tatt. But then, it was too dark...so I added the tea lights around the tub.

 

Once we found the best way to fit her body into the space with the ink showing in the spotlight, we added water. The final step was creating the orange glow to match the snorkel coloring.
